Diamond Edition - no cd patch/crack?

I bought and installed the diamond edition of NWN. Is there a way to modify
the game so I don't have to keep the dvd in my drive?

The latest patch enables the game to be played without the CD. I don't know
if that applies to the Diamond edition though I don't see why not. Anyway,
I'd suggest going to the Bioware sight (you can patch in the game) and
getting the latest patch.

v1.66. When I boot up NWN, mine already shows as v1.66. Which patch should I
install?

v.166 is the one I have - and it runs without the disk just fine.

Search the official forums (at nwn.bioware.com). There is a thread on
what to do to get rid of the disk-check in the Diamond edition. (It
seems the disk check was put into that edition by accident.)

The latest upgrade patch removed the need for the disk to be in the drive on
the standard edition and both upgrades. No idea if that is true for the
Diamond edition, but give it a try.

The latest patch 1.66 is in the Diamond DVD. Run that and it removes the
security stuffies *_*
